Osmo TopOil Clear Satin is infused with a subtle shimmer, reminiscent of satin, that delicately accentuates natural wood grains and enhances its beauty without overpowering its organic appearance.

Oiling your wooden worktop is an essential part of worktop maintenance: it creates a water-resistant barrier and helps prevent bowing or splitting. We recommend Osmo TopOil as it has superior coverage compared to traditional Danish oils; the food-safe formula features a breathable, micro-porous finish that resists cracking, peeling or flaking.

Periodically check the surface coating on your worktop to check it provides a beaded effect when wet - if not, apply one additional coat of Osmo TopOil to the clean, dry surface with an Osmo Lint Free Cloth.

Using this product:

Worktops should be dry, dust-free and sanded to a maximum 150 grit
Apply two coats for optimal coverage with Osmo Lint Free Cloths or the Osmo Hand Pad Holder and Osmo and Wood Oil Applicator Pad
Allow 8-10 hours drying time between each application
End grains and cut-outs will absorb oil more easily and will require the application of additional coats
We recommend purchasing 500ml of Osmo TopOil per 3 linear metres of worktop
Recoating is required when water is no longer beading on your worktops: generally this will be between 1-3 years and can be re-applied using the Osmo Wood Maintenance Pad and Osmo Hand Pad Holder

Please note: freshly oiled wooden surfaces typically require 2-3 weeks to fully cure and properly harden before they are ready for a traditional daily kitchen environment.
